E. Alessandra Strada, Ph.D.

Dr. Strada is Attending Psychologist in the department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She holds a degree of Doctor in Clinical and Community Psychology from the University of Bologna, Italy, a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant University in San Francisco, and a Ph.D. in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where she is also Assistant Professor of East-West Psychology. Dr. Strada adopts an integrative approach to pain management psychotherapy. Her combined use of cognitive-behavioral therapy, including guided imagery, mindfulness, and meditation, with existential and insight oriented approaches promotes improvement of function and psychological well-being.
