Dr. Ronald Kaplan has more than two decades of experience as a pain specialist. He is an Attending physician in the Pain Division of the Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care, Program Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship Training Program, and a Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has been one of New York Magazine's "Best Pain Management Physicians" every year from 2005 through 2008. He has published numerous articles and chapters devoted to pain management. In his practice, combines conservative therapies, such as medications, with numerous interventional approaches, like injections and spinal infusion. He stresses a careful evaluation, and strongly recommends that new patients acquire prior treatment records and a referral letter so that the therapeutic planning and treatment can be optimized.
