Dr.
Lara Dhingra is Co-Chief of the Research Division and an Attending Psychologist
in the Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care, Beth Israel Medical
Center. She is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry and Behavioral
Sciences at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her PhD is in Clinical
Psychology, and she has advanced training in pain management and pain research.
Her interests include racial and ethnic disparities, aberrant drug-taking behaviors,
and tobacco dependence. She is currently completing a large cross-sectional
survey of cancer pain among Chinese immigrants in New York City's Chinatown.
