Dr.
Sait Ashina is an attending physician and neurologist in the Pain Division of
the Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care, Beth Israel Medical Center.
He is a headache specialist and Director of the Headache Program, which is a
joint activity of Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care and the Department
of Neurology. Dr. Ashina has numerous publications, and his research interest
includes epidemiology of headache and pain, quantitative sensory testing, and
human pain models. He has extensive experience in the treatment of complex headache
conditions, including chronic and intractable migraine. His treatment approach
combines drug therapy, interventional treatments, such as nerve blocks, and
