Jennifer Haythornthwaite, Ph.D.

Jennifer Haythornthwaite, Ph.D., is Associate Professor, Department
of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Director of the Behavioral
Medicine Clinic at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is
also Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Oral and Craniofacial
Biological Sciences, at the University of Maryland Dental School.
Dr. Haythornthwaite received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the
State University of New York at Stony Brook. |

She is affiliated with the American Psychological Association, the American
Pain Society, and the American Psychosomatic Society.
The author of numerous journal articles and book chapters, Dr. Haythornthwaite
has received both private and federal grants to study psychologic and
medical treatments for managing acute and chronic pain. Her clinical and
academic work focuses on psychologic and social responses to acute and
chronic pain.
